People say they grow up so fast. We can't believe tomorrow he will be walking, and he gets his drivers license next week. lol

Happy Valentines Day

Sorry it has been a while since the last post. I enjoyed the rest of my maternity leave, it feels like it ended too soon.  Here are just a few of the things we did over the last few weeks.

We visited Chico and Chase got to meet Great Grandpa Jack. We got professional pictures done too, when we get them we will print and post them.

 Auntie Jolene and Casey came to visit.

Auntie Ellie and cousin Ambrose came to visit too! Chase and Brody shared some toys.

Growing Boy

We have been worried about Chase gaining weight, but I think we can put that to rest, he weighed in at 7lbs 10oz yesterday.  He is just growing so fast, I can't believe he is already 4 weeks old.

Chase Check-ups

We took Chase to the doctor again for another check-up. He got his weight back up to birth weight, and got his frenulum (the skin under his tongue) cut to help improve his sucking for eating. When the doctor strapped him down to make the cut, Chase didn't cry, he was such a good boy. Thank you for all the prayers for Chase and for us. We are going to meet a lactation specialist today to see what other improvements we can make to his feeding and sucking, so he doesn't hurt mommy anymore.

Also, in the works are birth announcements. Keep an eye out, in a week or two one should arrive in the mail.

Hope everyone had as good of Christmas as we did.

Chase has arrived!!!

Well this is an extremely busy time of year.  I just finished work on Friday, found a leak in the roof, enjoyed some Christmas parties over the weekend and did some baking, broke the heater, and went to the doctor Monday morning. Chase was breech for the weeks before and we wanted to flip him over, but when the doctor checked he said the baby ran out of amniotic fluid and would have to come out today!

We worried, and did our best to pack up at the house to check in to the hospital. We called all the family and friends we could think of, and Gramma and Grammpa Turner changed their holiday plans to come see us in the hosipital.

Chase Matson Uskali was born on December 20, 2010, at 5:07pm  weighing 6lbs 8oz.
